Thanks to advanced MPEG4 AVC technology, you can record high quality images on up to 16 channels at 25 frames per second (a total of 400 fps), with synchronised audio per channel. The MPEG4 AVC video and Ogg Vobis audio compression technology currently provide the smallest sized files with extremely high quality video and audio. You can even set individual resolution and quality levels for each channel.
The DVSR family has outstanding network functionality. There is dual streaming which allows you to use different setting for recorded video and network streamed video. Thanks to its virtual Triplex capability, you can record, play back and view live images simultaneously. Networking and viewing the DVSR's images at a remote site is easily achieved via TCP/IP, Dynamic IP Addressing - (DHCP), ADSL and PSTN through its web-server feature.
The UTC Fire & Security Web browser, which is part of the package, allows viewing of live and recorded video from the DVSR, creating snapshots, downloading and archiving recorded video, as well as controlling PTZ cameras connected to the DVSR. It also has Dynamic Domain Name Server capability.
High capacity and robustness
Not only can the DVSR family record extra-high quality images, it can store up to 2.4 Tbytes (equivalent to several months' worth), and can archive video on a USB Memory Stick, an external hard drive or even on a DVD/CD burner. The DVSR has advanced Self-Monitoring And Reporting Technology (SMART) and sophisticated PowerSaving features which extend the lifetime of the HDD by idling those not in use. You can control PTZ cameras either via the IR remote control or the buttons on the units front panel. An optional keyboard (KTD-405U) is also available.
Easy to use
Despite all its advanced functions, the DVSR has easy to learn web browser software and a multi-language OSD menu, icon driven user interface. The embedded VxWorks operating system and DSP means that this significant step in high quality real-time CCTV is future-proof.
